There's nothing quite like those first few AC/DC albums before Bon died. Johnson has done an admirable job filling Bon's shoes but I still prefer Bon-era AC/DC over Johnson-era AC/DC.
Incidentally, one of my favorite singers is fellow Scot-born Aussie, Jimmy Barnes. Barnes actually briefly replaced Bon Scott in Fraternity when Bon left that band to join AC/DC. He has a similar gritty style but he tends to sing with a bit more soul and a little less grit. Back in the 70s he was known to drink 2 bottles of Vodka a day, the 2nd DURING his live shows with his then band, Cold Chisel. If you dig Bon Scott, I recommend checking out Barnes' band Cold Chisel.
Thanks for sharing those clips btw! They're all pretty fokkin' cool!
I cried at some of these, and linked to you today.

AC/DC lost the twinkle in its eye when Bon died.
